Complete Balto system on a single host.
Balto-system installs Balto and its dependencies on a single host. This is the fastest way to get started self-hosting Balto.
The result is a host with Nginx and LetsEncrypt, an app server with Gunicorn, and database services from PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
Repository storage can be either an S3-compatible service or a locally-mounted filesystem. Public repositories can be served directly from the S3 bucket (+optional CDN).
You'll need to bring your own:
- SMTP server
- Offsite backups
- Firewall
- Monitoring
- Maintenance
- User management
- Configuration management
If any of the above sounds foreign, Balto Cloud is a better choice for you.
Requirements
- Debian or Ubuntu host
- Minimum 4 GB memory, 2 CPUs, 10 GB disk
- Public IPv4 address on one of the host's network interfaces
